ARIES – LET’S DANCE (DAVID BOWIE)

Always ready for a dance, Aries need to move their butts, even more so when on holiday. Any excuse is always a good one, and you don’t care about being ridiculed. One of the best, most unashamed dancers of the zodiac.

 

TAURUS – ‘DESPACITO’ (LUIS FONSI FT. DADDY YANKEE)

You prefer to do things slowly and smoothly. Stubborn as donkeys, you won’t let anyone take the lead easily. If you have a Taurus as your dance partner this summer, don’t rush their tempo and give them their space.

 

GEMINI – ‘UPSIDE DOWN’ (DIANA ROSS)

You live in a whirlwind of emotions and surreal dramas, and you’re the talk of your friends. Boredom doesn’t exist in your dictionary, and although you have no idea what you want, you know what you don’t want.

 CÁNCER – ‘WICKED GAME’ (CHRIS ISAAK)

The zodiac’s most melancholic sign. Memories of Chris Isaak chasing Helen Christensen on the beach, in this song’s black and white video, is Cancer at their purest. You exude sensuality and won’t hesitate to sing a song to your summer love, serenading them with guitar in hand.

LEO – ‘LA BOMBA’ (KING AFRICA)

You’re a hit wherever you go, just like this King Africa track in 2008. Leo’s best summer moment is usually dancing with a tequila shot, making friends in the most unlikely places or striking a killer pose on the beach.

 

VIRGO – ‘MOI LOLITA’ (ALIZÉE)

You don’t lose an ounce of femininity / masculinity even when sweating it out at Sonar. The most diplomatic and dedicated sign of the zodiac. You are totally aware that you are hot, even though you try being innocent, just like when Alizée sang ‘Moi Lolita.’

 

LIBRA – ‘ESCUELA DE CALOR’ (RADIO FUTURA)

You’re naturally flirty, more for the fun of it rather than anything else. Libras have a great deal of self-confidence, and their people skills make them the life of the party, but if you take them on holiday, don’t tell them your best-kept secrets.

 

SCORPIO – ‘SOMETHING AGAINST YOU’ (PIXIES)

One of your favourite phrases is: “I’m planning to kill you in your sleep.” If you mess with a Scorpio this holiday, you’d better sort things out quick. This Pixies track is dedicated to all Scorpios; for having a worse reputation than you deserve.

 SAGITARIO – ‘ASEREJÉ’ (LAS KETCHUP)

Sometimes you don’t even understand what you are saying, as with this huge summer hit by Las Ketchup - ‘Aserejé.’ However, there is something tremendously catchy about Sagittarius. Once one of them is in your head, you can’t get them out, just like the earworm that is ‘Aserejé’.

 

CAPRICORNIO – ‘BOYS OF SUMMER’ (DON HENLEY)

The summer and the zodiac’s fieriest sign. You love the sun and the beach, as long as you can put your towel and umbrella down quickly. Capricorn’s love will still be strong after the summer has gone, just as Henley sang on this über classic.

AQUARIUS – ‘HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH’ (BELINDA CARLISLE)

Few scenes remind us of Aquarius more than the one that closed our favourite episode of ‘Black Mirror: San Junipero. ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’ blares out, and the excitement of a new beginning is the attitude with which this sign starts every summer.

 

PISCIS – ‘MACARENA’ (LOS DEL RIO)

You’re lovely people, but are as scratched as a Los Del Rio vinyl. They need a partner in crime with tons of patience to get them through the summer, and the drama that comes with it, but the giggles will make up for it.
