Alex Sobrón
Alejandro Sobron (2000, Palma de Mallorca) is a young creative living in Spain known for his eponymous designer jewelry brand founded in 2020. He was born and raised in a creative family, his grandfather was a couturier who created his own haute couture house in Paris. He also spent much of his childhood in the Studio of one of the greatest and most controversial fashion designers, Miguel Adrover.
He studied fine arts in Madrid and his practice as a designer is a dialogue between fashion and sculpture. After studying, he began to create jewelry pieces for his own use that soon caught the attention of professionals in the art and fashion industries, which pushed him to embark on the creation of his own brand.
The pieces stand out for being sculptural and dramatic, challenging the limits of ergonomics and conventional jewelry. The interaction between the human body and the pieces is something he explores through his practice. The collections are conceptual and follow a clear narrative thread, they tell a story. The leitmotivs in the designer's speech are fragility, transformation, the relationship between man and nature and autobiographical themes.
The pieces have a clear inspiration of organic motifs, visiting elements of nature, fauna, flora and the human body. These are made by hand and produced in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.
