Gori de Palma

A creator whose work has revolved since his beginnings around the colour black and subcultural movements. He maintains a formal development in the field of fashion, where the afterpunk filter, the industrial, the marginal and the sexual affect his collections.

In his restlessness to explore different media, he has worked for several years in shipbuilding, and later in the restoration and reconstruction of old cars and motorbikes. Defining himself as a craftsman and creator, and shying away from the clichés of designer, he emphasises the importance of technique and aesthetic values in any task that involves him.

In the development of the image/concept of each collection, campaigns, lookbook, lighting design, staging, casting... he explores different supports that create reflective grids about the storyline of his work. Gori de Palma converts his performance space into a support for the synergies that reveal his creative impulses, in which an array of references appear that, threaded together, lead to a signature of auteurism that is refined and dark, solid and perverse.

The importance of his work in fashion, not only affects the final result of his collections, but also centralises his discourse in the conceptualisation of the garments and the representation of subcultural movements.

His outstanding career as a creative has allowed him to collaborate with Swarovski, Converse, Vans, Bershka, Jagermeister, Jack Daniels and Vice Magazine. As well as participating in various exhibitions at CCCB (Barcelona) and Circulo de Bellas Artes (Madrid), demonstrating his critical vision of art, fashion and consumption. As well as presenting his collections on prominent catwalks such as Cibeles [madrid], Pasarela Gaudi and 080 Fashion Week (Barcelona).
