Maria Escoté

Colorful, rebellious, creative, passionate, and different. Escoté carries in her genes a unique creative universe: she grew up among brushes and scraps, her mother was a weaver, and her father a painter. She launched her own brand in 2006, and today her unique and stylish pop streetwear walks the streets worldwide. Artists like Beyoncé, Rosalía, Rita Ora, Zendaya, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry have worn her garments.

Winner of the 2010 Marie Claire award, in 2012 María Escoté is selected by Mercedes Benz and Luisa Via Roma as the standout designer at Mercedes Fashion Week Madrid. With a unique and vitalistic style, María Escoté becomes one of the regular creators on the Madrid runway calendar. At the same time, she is invited to be part of the Fierze4Ever 2012 festival in the city of Florence.

In 2014, the designer enjoys great acclaim among celebrities in the Asian continent after walking the runway in Beijing, a city where she again presents her proposals in September 2016.

It is in 2014 when the brand inaugurates its online store - www.mariaescote.com - achieving greater international projection and being the first designer worldwide to launch the "See Now, Buy Now" concept, where the collection can be seen and purchased within hours of being presented on the runway. Afterward, the creator expands the brand and inaugurates her children's clothing line with the brand "María Kids" by María Escoté.

María Escoté is known for her eclectic, colorful garments. For dreaming of a world of equality, love, respect, and color. That's why characters like My Little Pony, Hello Kitty, The Powerpuff Girls, Pucca, or Wonder Woman have chosen her to create collaborative collections.

In 2019, in collaboration with Wallapop, a company dedicated to the buying and selling of second-hand products, María presents on the runways for the first time a collection made from recycled and reinterpreted second-hand clothing.

In 2020, María Escoté launched her first collection in collaboration with Desigual. A collection inspired by the manga universe, urban and full of color, where the protagonists are flowers. A passionate and energetic capsule collection to revitalize autumn. After the success of this first collection, the Desigual x María Escoté collaboration has continued to create new collections and generate collectors of these garments season after season.
